The Battle of Sturges was the shortest and yet bloodiest battle of the Unification War. It was a space battle fought over a hoard of money, according to Badger. In terms of bloodshed, Malcolm Reynolds considered it a distant second to the Battle of Serenity Valley.
It saw the first use of the Alliance Fast Attack Ship, who used wolf pack tactics against independent Firefly Class gunboats/gunships.
