Harken

Harken is the commanding officer of an Alliance cruiser. He seized Serenity and bound the crew for murdering the crew of a transport vessel and illegal salvage. When the sole survivor of the transport ship began to attack the crew of the cruiser, Harken, Malcolm Reynolds and several Alliance soldiers searched for and found him on Serenity. Harken's life was saved by Mal when the now-reaver survivor attacked Harken.
